Breakfast Quinoa with Berries

A hearty and wholesome start to the day, this Breakfast Quinoa with Berries combines soft, nutty quinoa with a touch of sweetness and a medley of fresh berries. Topped with a splash of milk and homemade whipped cream, it’s a deliciously creamy and nutritious breakfast.

Ingredients

Pantry

  • 1 cup Quinoa

  • 1 cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats

Fridge and Freezer

  • 1 basket Berries

  • ½ cup Cream

  • ½ cup Milk

  • 3 tbs Pancake Syrup

Directions
  1. Wash hands with soap and water. Wash and dry the berries.

  2. Combine the quinoa with 8 cups of water in a pot and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes until grains are soft. Stir in 2 tbs pancake syrup and 1⁄2 tsp salt.

  3. In a medium bowl, beat ½ cup heavy cream until it becomes whipped cream. Beat in 1 tbs pancake syrup.

  4. Serve breakfast quinoa with berries, a splash of milk, and some whipped cream. This recipe makes 4 servings. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.
