Ingredients

Pantry

  • ½ cup Sugar

  • 2 tbs Cornstarch

  • ⅔ cup Whole Wheat Flour

  • ⅔ cup Old Fashioned Oats

  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar

Fridge and Freezer

  • 1 lb Frozen Cherries

  • ¼ cup Butter

  • 1 large container Flavored Yogurt

Directions
  1. Wash hands with soap and water. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 3x9-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, combine the cherries, sugar and cornstarch. Pour into the baking dish and set aside.

  2. Melt the butter (or shortening for dairy-free) in a microwave-safe bowl. In a mixing bowl (the same one you used before is fine) combine oat blend and melted butter. Sprinkle the topping over the fruit.

  3. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, or until the juices are bubbling and the oat topping is golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes before dividing into 4 servings and serving with ½ cup yogurt (optional). Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.

*Omit yogurt and replace butter with shortening to make this recipe dairy-free.
