Ingredients

Pantry

  • 8 Corn Tortillas

  • 1 package Taco Seasoning

  • 1 Tomato

Fridge and Freezer

  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 lb Ground Beef, thawed

  • 1 8-oz bag Shredded Lettuce

  • ½ cup Salsa

  • ½ cup Sour Cream

Directions
  1. Wash hands with soap and water. Wash and chop the tomato.

  2. To heat corn tortillas, you can use a dry skillet or pan over medium-high heat, heating each side for 10-20 seconds until soft and warm, or you can use a microwave with damp paper towels.

  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the beef. Add the taco seasoning to the meat and continue to cook until browned (add ¼ cup water if it seems too dry).

  4. Divide the taco meat between tortillas and top with cheese, tomato and lettuce. Serve each taco with 1 tbs salsa and sour cream. This recipe makes 8 tacos. 1 serving = 2 tacos.

*Taco seasoning may contain gluten; check the ingredients. You can substitute 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp salt, and ½ tsp cumin.
