Homemade Fish Sticks
Our Homemade Fish Sticks are a healthier, baked alternative to the classic fried version, featuring crispy, golden-brown tilapia coated in seasoned breadcrumbs. Oven-baking keeps them light while still delivering a satisfying crunch. Served with carrot sticks and ketchup for dipping, these fish sticks make for a nutritious and delicious meal that's perfect for all ages.

2 cups Breadcrumbs
1 tbs All Purpose Spice Blend
Fridge and Freezer
½ cup Catsup
2 Eggs
4 Tilapia Filets
4 Carrots
Directions
Wash hands with soap and water. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Wash, dry, and peel the carrots, then cut into sticks. Slice tilapia filets into strips.
Add panko breadcrumbs to a large baking sheet and spread out in an even layer. Spray breadcrumbs with nonstick olive oil cooking spray. Bake for 2 minutes, then stir breadcrumbs, then bake for 2-3 minutes or until breadcrumbs are golden brown.
Combine breadcrumbs and spice blend in a bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with a fork.
Line the large baking sheet with an oven safe wire metal rack. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Dip each fish piece into the egg mixture, then use a tong to grab and toss into the breadcrumb mixture and roll it in completely coat with breadcrumbs. Use tongs to transfer each fish stick to the wire rack, placing about 1 inch apart.
Generously spray the tops of the fish sticks with nonstick spray. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
Serve fish sticks with catsup for dipping and carrot sticks on the side. Serves 4. This recipe makes 4 servings. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.
