  • 1 cup Grits

Fridge and Freezer

  • 1 lb Raw Ground Turkey Breakfast Sausage, thawed

  • ¼ cup Butter

  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 basket Strawberries

Directions
  1. Wash hands with soap and water. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9-inch baking dish.

  2. Heat a little oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the sausage, breaking up with a spatula, until cooked through.

  3. Combine grits, 4 cups of water, and ½ tsp salt in a medium or large saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until thickened or bubbly.

  4. Stir sausage, ¼ cup of butter, and cheese into the grits, season with pepper, and mix until cheese is melted.

  5. Pour into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest 10-15 minutes before serving, with fruit on the side. This recipe makes 4 servings. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.
